Oo happy day

October 14, 2010

Vahepeal said ka ühed kõrvarõngad valmis. Need on sellised lausa külluslikult roosad.

Emakeel on ju ikka armas.

Today it was a very interesting and a happy day. Although I had to work nine hours and after that I ran to a  course, I still had some time to accidentally met my mom and met with a metal artist Ülle who gave me a very valuable information about working with metal.  Big thanks to her. 🙂 Our conversation encouraged me to learn some metal art and that´s what I´m going to do next week, I´ll start with a new course. This will be a completely new and special phase in my life and I´m very exited about it.

Meanwhile new earrings are ready. They are made with rose quartz and amethyst.

And as you can see from now on you can read this blog  in english and estonian both. I like my mother tongue.

Long Tulip

October 9, 2010

Few days ago a new necklace was ready. It´s a long necklace with tulip shaped bell. The bell was empty so I hide three beautiful moonstones inside of it. All three are hanging on a silver chain and when you move it, it will make some lovely soft sound.

The top of the bell is decorated with little shiny mountain crystals, they´re gorgeous.

Very simple and elegant Tulip is suitable for wearing it on special evenings or with a formal dress. Don´t know why but it makes me thinking about a ball in Vienna´s opera house…Mmm 🙂

Labradorite earrings

October 8, 2010

It´s funny how fast time flies. I´m always doing something for other people and lately I have been busy for doing jewellery for birthday gifts, for friends and for a client. Not to mention that I have full-time job and since last week I´m taking an interesting course after job so I get home around ten o´clock …at night, twice a week… but I enjoy it anyways.

So for a change I made something for myself. These are very simple and natural earrings made with labradorite gemstones and dark oxidized silver wire. The wire is 1mm wide and its singularity lies in that the more you twist it, the more it gets inflexible. It´s not very easy to work with it, if you don´t have strong hands.

Labradorite is very modest gray gemstone. First time when you look at it, it seems to be nothing special but it reflects light and on a right light it´s amazing, it will sparkle and reflect some blue shades.

New semi precious stones

August 27, 2010

This morning  there was a new maxi letter with set of stones looking back at me in my mailbox. It´s always nice surprise to open your mailbox door and there they are, your new pretties. Awesome! That’s why I like to order stuff with post because you´ll never know when you get it and it is so exciting to wait and check you mailbox every morning. Are they arrived yet?

These new stones are especially delicious. A set consists of howlite turquoise, white jade and opal beads. I put that set up based on a howlite turquoise.

Howlite Gemstone meaning

They say that turquoise is suitable for elder and experienced people who have already achieved something in life. Maybe people over 50 years. But you don´t have to be 50 to wear them. 🙄 I think this blue and purple turquoise is also very suitable for younger people too.

But I like these pink opal beads most – when I took them out of the package, I had almost passed out.

Girls buy clothes and make up, I buy stones…Well, pretty stones 😉
