Vahepeal said ka ühed kõrvarõngad valmis. Need on sellised lausa külluslikult roosad.
Emakeel on ju ikka armas.
Today it was a very interesting and a happy day. Although I had to work nine hours and after that I ran to a course, I still had some time to accidentally met my mom and met with a metal artist Ülle who gave me a very valuable information about working with metal. Big thanks to her. 🙂 Our conversation encouraged me to learn some metal art and that´s what I´m going to do next week, I´ll start with a new course. This will be a completely new and special phase in my life and I´m very exited about it.
Meanwhile new earrings are ready. They are made with rose quartz and amethyst.
And as you can see from now on you can read this blog in english and estonian both. I like my mother tongue.

Few days ago a new necklace was ready. It´s a long necklace with tulip shaped bell. The bell was empty so I hide three beautiful moonstones inside of it. All three are hanging on a silver chain and when you move it, it will make some lovely soft sound.
The top of the bell is decorated with little shiny mountain crystals, they´re gorgeous.
Very simple and elegant Tulip is suitable for wearing it on special evenings or with a formal dress. Don´t know why but it makes me thinking about a ball in Vienna´s opera house…Mmm 🙂

It´s funny how fast time flies. I´m always doing something for other people and lately I have been busy for doing jewellery for birthday gifts, for friends and for a client. Not to mention that I have full-time job and since last week I´m taking an interesting course after job so I get home around ten o´clock …at night, twice a week… but I enjoy it anyways.
So for a change I made something for myself. These are very simple and natural earrings made with labradorite gemstones and dark oxidized silver wire. The wire is 1mm wide and its singularity lies in that the more you twist it, the more it gets inflexible. It´s not very easy to work with it, if you don´t have strong hands.
Labradorite is very modest gray gemstone. First time when you look at it, it seems to be nothing special but it reflects light and on a right light it´s amazing, it will sparkle and reflect some blue shades.

It seems that I got cold and at the moment I´m pretty sick and tired. I wrapped myself into a big cozy blanket and made a hot cup of tea. I used all my teabags today, it means that I have drunk almost 12 cups of tea. 😯
Few minutes ago I made another treasury. I just tried to be more creative. I put all my favorite items, fine art photos and colours together…and I got a beautiful mess.

Here´s my first Treasury.
As I am a new member of Etsy I want to try to make a Treasury. For me it´s another great reason to be a part of the Etsy community and it gives me another opportunity to play with colours. This Treasury is made with mint green items because it´s one of my favorite colour.

Are you looking for something new and not so ordinary, something outstanding?
Let me introduce to you, the one and only… Medusa earrings.
These earrings are inspired by Medusa. In Greek mythology Medusa “guardian, protectress” was a Gorgon, a chthonic female monster, and a daughter of Phorcys and Ceto, gazing directly upon her would turn onlookers to stone. She was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who afterwards used her head as a weapon until he gave it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield. In classical antiquity the image of the head of Medusa appeared in the evil-averting device known as the Gorgoneion.
Why Medusa? because I usually know very well how my new creation is going to look like but not this time. This time I just took my materials and started to make something out, so I even can say that these earrings are very unexpected, they surprised me. It´s not the only reason. Since I was a little girl I’ve been fascinated by mythological creatures and the darker wire reminds me of Medusa´s hair. Medusa had snakes for hair.
Below is the picture of Medusa made by Caravaggio who is one of my favourite Italian artists. I love his paintings and how he described the game of light and shadow. His realistic works often featured violent struggles, grotesque decapitation, torture and death.

This morning there was a new maxi letter with set of stones looking back at me in my mailbox. It´s always nice surprise to open your mailbox door and there they are, your new pretties. Awesome! That’s why I like to order stuff with post because you´ll never know when you get it and it is so exciting to wait and check you mailbox every morning. Are they arrived yet?
These new stones are especially delicious. A set consists of howlite turquoise, white jade and opal beads. I put that set up based on a howlite turquoise.
They say that turquoise is suitable for elder and experienced people who have already achieved something in life. Maybe people over 50 years. But you don´t have to be 50 to wear them. 🙄 I think this blue and purple turquoise is also very suitable for younger people too.
But I like these pink opal beads most – when I took them out of the package, I had almost passed out.
Girls buy clothes and make up, I buy stones…Well, pretty stones 😉

I have some feathers stood in the closet for a long time and I haven´t found the opportunity to use them. Then one day, as I was searching for material at my nearby art goods store I had an idea. They sell wooden blanks which you can use for many things. I bought these little blanks and some lovely acrylic colours which fitted fine with feathers. I went home and started to figure out what to do next.
Make sure that you have everything before getting started!
Small wooden blanks.
Acrylic colours. I got Wedding pink, Water green and Sun yellow.
Synthetic hair brush. It should be made with synthetic hair because it gives you a smoother finish than other brushes.
And of course you´ll also need some earring wires, transparent varnish and hot glue pistol.
Next you should:
I hope you remember that before adding new layer of colour or varnish you should let the first layer dry completely!
Finally add earring wires. I used the most simple ones. And here they are, ready to wear.
I think this is a GREAT gift idea. I’m going to make many of these and give them as Christmas and birthday gifts. All you family members out there, ignore what you just read! 😆
